New Dancing Blender Tees

Posted by Christine on June 27, 2009

I’ve started a whole series of Dancing Blender T-shirts.

“Dancing Blender” is my brand for my sketchblog, and also refers to making smoothies -something I do quite a lot.

Here are a couple examples:

I’ve got more ideas along the same line, so this is only the beginning.

I’m also making designs using fruits and veggies, believe it or not. It’s all in my Zazzle Gallery. All in good fun!

Click on the shirts, then “FOOD” in the right side column for the rest.

Father’s Day

Posted by Christine on June 21, 2009

Father’s Day is today and I hope everyone remembered to get in touch with their respective fathers -I’m about to call mine as soon as I am finished with this.

And speaking of fathers, mine can certainly handle a pencil.

Check out this Michelle Obama !

I think he caught her expression just right.

New Art Exhibit Images

Posted by Christine on June 9, 2009

I have just added a few pictures from my current Art exhibits, to be found on the Exhibit pages of this blog.

The next one for now is in December 09, which might seem like it’s giving me plenty of time to get ready for, and at the same time, I’m sure it’ll be here quicker than I think.

I have several options in themes for that one, so for now I am making sure I have enough material in each category -that way when I do choose, it will just be a matter of printing and framing the images.

The main 2 I am thinking about for now are either big Fruit prints or the Great Outdoors series. See this Poster Gallery for some examples.

Ok, so do take a look at the exhibit page.

I’m A Working Bee

Posted by Christine on June 5, 2009

I am very much a working bee of late. I was very happy to find a temporary job for the local Croc factory for a couple extended weekends. The factory is unfortunately closing and laying off all its workers to move to California where, I am assuming, people are more apt to buying pricey Crocs for the sake of brandname. I say this because of all the copy cats out there that sell for a mere $5-10, as opposed to the $30-40 originals.

Anyway, all that to say I am working 10 hour days, 5 days this week and 4 the next, for this huge Closing-The-Factory Sale, Everything-Must-Go  type fiasco. And I have to tell you, being on your feet, walking, running, and generally cleaning up after wave and wave of hungry shoppers is hard work. Ok, so maybe not as hard as some blue collar jobs, but still harder than one might think.

By the time I make it home at 9pm, all I can do is take a quick shower and go to bed, just so I don’t have to get up again to get myself to bed latter on.

I’m a working bee for sure. And, a grateful one at that for this temp job.

I’ll worry about next month next month…
