It’s been a while since I’ve made squidoo lenses…
My most recent one is for Stray Tales, one of my self-published books. This one is a little different because of how I market it… with an invitation for people to go ahead and color the pages themselves.
I even tell people to send or email me a copy of the colored page and I would put it up. Unfortunately, few do. Oh well. I wish they would though, so I can see how they went about it.
I’ve got all 3 books with their respective lenses.
Still working on this Stray Tales one, with the whole coloring aspect still needing to be added.

Comic books are the movies of the time. There are so many comic characters and superheroes now being made into Hollywood fares. Not that I mind actually. In fact, I rather enjoy them.
I wonder what it says about us as a society. Are we in need of heroes? Are we hoping someone will fly in and save the day? I think in some ways we are that and more. We want to believe in Good again. We want to believe there are those out there all about helping others and doing the “right thing.”
The last couple I’ve seen are The Incredible Hulk and Hancock. Both Edward Norton and Will Smith are enjoyable any day of the week, so I most certainly enjoyed both movies.
I’ve been posting small, quick reviews on the ciao site.
Here’s my list so far:

And since I am snowed in today up here in Colorado -I believe the correct term is White Out, my first- it’s probably going to be a movie day (and hot chocolate). Ha, ha.

It’s been a while since I’ve been on this blog. I think I just had to take a break -too many sites and things to keep up with.
Anyway, lately I’ve been coming back to squidoo lenses I had made and upgrading them a bit with more information, images, fun gear, etc.
The two I’ve worked on so far are:
1- scooters! I got one earlier this year and have been riding it off and on depending on weather. It’s great fun and inspired me to go back and upgrade this lens a bit.
Check it out here: http://www.squidoo.com/scooters-for-fun
2- Corto Maltese. I’m a great fan of European comics and Hugo Pratt’s Corto Maltese adventures are extremely famous all over the world. I’m working on listing the albums for now. I’ve added a few images too for a better visual experience. Next will be some historical context for each album.
Check this one here: http://www.squidoo.com/Corto-Maltese-Adventurer
Take a minute to go through these squidoo lenses. I’m putting a lot of work into them and rather enjoy the way they’re coming out. Hope you do to.

I have just finished updating my Moebius squidoo lens.
I’ve got a couple more ideas and then I think it’ll be good for a while. This is my best performing lens to date, and my goal is to submit it as “Lens of the Day”… so I want to make sure I do all I know to do to get it accepted.
I’m going to let it be for a couple of days, see how I like it, add an image or two, and submit.
Keep your fingers crossed… and in the mean time, visit the lens, comment, rate it, and send friends over to check it out.

Squidoo lens #3 is up and running. This one is about Corto Maltese, the sailor / adventurer character drawn by Hugo Pratt.
Son of a British sailor and a gypsy, Corto sails the high seas and travels the land from continent to continent, following the adventure wherever it might take him.
If you are unfamiliar with this series, hop over to Corto Maltese, Gentlemen Sailor Adventurer and see for yourself… and if you are familiar, then go see it anyway.
I’m getting the hang of it now, as far as basics are concerned. I see a lot of variety in format though, when I surf around other lenses, so I know for sure there is a lot more to this than I am doing so far. Best way to learn is to jump in and do it, right?
